MFG Chemical announces new plant acquisition

MFG Chemical, a specialty chemical manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of the assets of the chemical plant located on 1804 Kimberly Park Drive in Dalton, GA, according to Chuck Gavin, President.
The facility, which brings MFG’s total production plants to three, will serve as corporate headquarters as well as the company’s technical and product development center, Gavin said. He added that the facilities will enhance customer support as well as aid in development of new markets and products.
“This expansion represents a tremendous opportunity for MFG Chemical to better meet the needs of our existing customers and expand our business well into the future,” Gavin said. “It also strengthens our position as a supplier to the specialty chemical markets.”
The new facility doubles the company’s production capacity. It comes fully integrated with stainless steel and glass reactors, as well as auxiliaries such as hot oil, pilot facilities, and substantial inventory capacity. The site location also includes area for expansion.
MFG Chemical is a supplier of specialty surfactants and polymers for a wide variety of markets. The company manufactures products under custom and toll agreements for many companies ranging in size from small to large global firms. The company is a member of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA)
