ULTRAMIDE (Amides)

Amides are N-containing compounds derived from the reaction of an amine and fatty acid(s) or oils.

Amides can impart emulsification, lubricity and corrosion protection to a formulation. Oleic and tall oil amides will generally give better emulsification properties.

Most DIPA amides can be used to replace a DEA counterpart.

MFG Chemical amides are produced with various amines and a number of fatty acids, giving the formulator a choice to meet their needs.

APPLICATIONS: Used effectively in household and industrial cleaners improving wetting and detergency. Easily replaces DEA cocamide in formulations. Improves detergency and wetting. Controllable foam characteristics.
