MFG Chemical Adds Top Scientific and Operations Talent for Radical Polymers & Masters Divisions

Chattanooga (October 9, 2024) – MFG Chemical has added two highly experienced individuals to its scientific and operational management team, respectively.

 

Dr. Jeff Kramer, Radical Polymer Product Development Manager – Biocides

The Radical Polymers division of MFG Chemical has hired Dr. Jeff Kramer as Product Development Manager responsible for applications testing and development of biocides. Jeff has over 30 years of experience applying biocides to industrial water systems. Dr. Kramer has been a frequent presenter at the national conferences of the Association of Water Technologies (AWT), the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), and the Cooling Tower Institute. Jeff earned his B.S. in Biology from Adelphi University and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His technical papers have been widely published in scientific journals on subjects such as comparative biocide efficacy, biofilm control with Bromo-chloro-dimethyl-hydantoin and its application against Legionella pneumophila in industrial cooling water systems, and biocide blends to solve microbial contamination issues in hydraulic fracturing, to name only a few.

Brian Day, Masters Company Operations Manager                                        

Brian Day has joined Masters Company, Inc., a division of MFG Chemical, as Operations Manager. Brian is responsible for the management of all activities in the blending, reagents and shipping areas. Brian has over 30 years of experience in operations, having served in similar operations management positions at U.S. Steel, Ineos Silicas, Clorox and Purposebuilt Brands. Brian earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
