Chemical association SOCMA honors MFG with Safety

Safety Recognition from Industry Association SOCMA

The chemical industry association SOCMA (Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates) has named MFG Chemical the recipient of its Safety Recognition. MFG has consistently been recognized for its plant safety record, having received this Safety Recognition last year, as well as numerous SOCMA Performance Improvement Awards in past years. Specific criteria for SOCMA’s Safety Recognition include 1) no plant accidents; 2) safety training for all employees; and 3) compliance with all US, state and local safety laws, as well as REACH, a European Union safety law which governs the use of chemicals. The SOCMA Safety Recognition honor will be given to MFG formally in at the SOCMA Summit in Charleston, SC, on October 29. Upon the news of this Safety Recognition, MFG Chemical President & CEO, Paul Turgeon declared, “MFG has made safety the core value of the company, a value shared by all our employees. MFG is dedicated to improving environmental performance through optimizing resource use and significantly reducing the overall volume and hazardous characteristics of wastes generated by manufacturing processes. We are happy to receive this industry Safety Recognition, ad will continue to invest in our plants and employees as we build on our strong safety and environmental performance.”.
