The chemical industry association SOCMA (Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates) has named MFG Chemical the recipient of its Safety Recognition. MFG has consistently been recognized for its plant safety record, having received this Safety Recognition last year, as well as numerous SOCMA Performance Improvement Awards in past years. Specific criteria for SOCMA’s Safety Recognition include 1) no plant accidents; 2) safety training for all employees; and 3) compliance with all US, state and local safety laws, as well as REACH, a European Union safety law which governs the use of chemicals. The SOCMA Safety Recognition honor will be given to MFG formally in at the SOCMA Summit in Charleston, SC, on October 29. Upon the news of this Safety Recognition, MFG Chemical President & CEO, Paul Turgeon declared, “MFG has made safety the core value of the company, a value shared by all our employees.
