Amides are N-containing compounds derived from the reaction of an amine and fatty acid(s) or oils.
Amides can impart emulsification, lubricity and corrosion protection to a formulation. Oleic and tall oil amides will generally give better emulsification properties.
Most DIPA amides can be used to replace a DEA counterpart.

APPLICATIONS: Used in metalworking formulations, drawing & stamping, coolants and corrosion inhibitors. Improves lubrication and corrosion protection, also stabilizes emulsions. Compatible with other additives used in metalworking fluids.
